Written by Peko Research Team.Last updated: 10/07/2026.
Updated October 2026 — Receipt-scanning loyalty lets a guest photograph the printed bill so the software reads the total and credits points, with no cashier step and no POS integration. In Singapore it works with any till that prints a receipt, including Qashier, StoreHub, Eats365 and Loyverse.
- The guest snaps the receipt; AI reads total, items, receipt number, date and time; points land in seconds.
- It needs no POS integration, so it works with Qashier, StoreHub, Eats365, Loyverse and any till that prints a bill.
- It also records PayNow and SGQR and cash payments, because it reads the bill, not the payment.
- Fraud control is the real test: ask for duplicate checks on receipt number, image and amount plus time.
- PEKO offers it free up to 300 members, then S$49/month.

Receipt-scanning loyalty moves enrolment from the counter to the guest's phone. Instead of the cashier asking for a number at peak hour, the guest photographs the printed bill after paying, and the software reads it and credits points. Nothing changes on the POS.
How it works
The guest scans a QR on the table, counter or receipt, then takes a photo of the bill. Optical character recognition (OCR) reads the total, the items, the receipt number, the date and the time. The points land on the guest's phone in seconds, and the guest is now a member the venue can reach again.
Which POS it works with
Because it reads the paper, not the till's data, it works with any POS that prints a receipt. In Singapore that includes Qashier, StoreHub, Eats365 and Loyverse, as well as older tills with no API at all. There is no integration project and no change to your receipt layout.
What it costs
With PEKO, receipt scanning is part of every plan: free up to 300 members, then S$49/month, with 0% commission and no contract. Compare that with integration-based loyalty, where the bill often includes a monthly fee from day one plus setup.
Fraud controls
PEKO checks every receipt four ways before points land: the receipt number, an image hash that catches the same photo sent twice, the amount plus time window, and an AI review of anything unusual. Ask any vendor for the same four checks before you sign; a receipt scanner without a duplicate check pays out the same bill many times.
Which tools offer it
PEKO offers receipt scanning on any POS in Singapore. Many loyalty CRMs sold in Singapore enrol guests at the counter or through a POS integration instead, so ask each vendor whether it reads receipts from your specific POS before comparing prices.
When it is not the right fit
If your venue does not print receipts at all, receipt scanning has nothing to read — guests can still join from a table QR (Group Check-In) and earn by visit instead.
Put the QR where the bill lands
A sticker on the receipt tray or a line on the printed bill gets more scans than a poster by the door.
Give a reason to scan today
"Snap this receipt for a free drink on your next visit" beats "join our programme".
Turn on Group Check-In too
Receipt Scan rewards the payer's bill; the table QR lets everyone else at the table join.
FAQ
Does receipt-scanning loyalty need a POS integration?
No. It reads the printed receipt, so it works with Qashier, StoreHub, Eats365, Loyverse and any POS in Singapore that prints a bill.
Can a guest scan the same receipt twice?
Not on PEKO. Four checks (receipt number, image hash, amount plus time window, AI review) reject duplicates.
Does it work for PayNow and SGQR and cash payments?
Yes. It reads the bill, so the payment method does not matter.
What does it cost?
On PEKO, free up to 300 members, then S$49/month, 0% commission, cancel anytime.
What makes PEKO different from other loyalty software?
Three things. Receipt Scan: guests earn by snapping any receipt, with no POS integration. Group Check-In: the whole table joins from one QR, not only the payer. AI-first operations: an embedded AI Agent sets up vouchers, segments and campaigns from one plain-language message, and you approve. It is free up to 300 members and live in about 15 minutes.
How fast can I start, and what does it cost?
About 15 minutes, self-serve. Free up to 300 members, then S$49/month, 0% commission, cancel anytime.
Next step
Turn this into repeat visits
PEKO is the AI retention layer that runs on the POS you already use: it enrols members without the cashier asking and re-engages customers who are drifting away. Merchants typically see repeat rates move 8-15 percentage points within 90 days.
Free tier · No card required · Works with your existing POS

The PEKO ecosystem
PEKO and LOOP are two products from the same company. PEKO is the AI retention layer and runs alongside the POS you already use. LOOP is the AI-native POS that covers operations: recipe-level inventory, staff shifts, table plans and the kitchen display. Each works on its own, and run together they share one dataset, so nothing has to be entered twice. See PEKO + LOOP in one ecosystem

Receipt-scanning loyalty in Malaysia: how it works, which POS it works with, cost and fraud controls
Receipt-scanning loyalty lets a guest photograph the printed bill so the software reads the total and credits points, with no cashier step and no POS integration. In Malaysia it works with any till that prints a receipt, including Qashier, StoreHub, Eats365 and Loyverse.
Answer
Does receipt-scan loyalty capture every sale?
Receipt Scan records every sale a guest chooses to claim, whatever the payment method, including cash and e-wallets that payment-linked loyalty misses. Guests are prompted on the receipt and at the table, and Group Check-In enrols everyone at the table, so the share of guests who become members is usually higher than with cashier sign-up.
Answer
Loyalty without asking the cashier — how it works and when to use it
Loyalty without asking the cashier is the model where customers enrol and earn points themselves by scanning a QR or photographing a receipt — no staff phone-number ask, no queue slowdown, and it works with any POS because it reads the receipt instead of integrating with the system.
