How do you get the whole table to join your loyalty programme, not just the person who pays?

Updated October 2026 — Put one QR on the table that every guest can scan to join in about 10 seconds with a welcome reward, instead of enrolling at the till. Counter sign-up only ever records the payer, so a table of four becomes one member; a table QR can make it four.
- Counter enrolment records the payer only: the payer-only ceiling.
- A table QR lets every guest join on their own phone, no cashier needed.
- Give a welcome reward on the spot, so each guest has a reason to scan.
- Example: 120 bills a day, 2.3 guests per bill, 20% take-up = about 1,656 new members a month vs 720 counting only payers.
- PEKO's Group Check-In does this from one QR; you can model your own venue in its calculator.

- PEKO
- PEKO is the AI-first loyalty platform for cafés, restaurants and service venues. Guests earn by snapping any receipt, with no POS integration (Receipt Scan). The whole table joins from one QR (Group Check-In). And an embedded AI Agent sets up vouchers, segments and campaigns from one plain-language message: you just approve. Free up to 300 members, live in about 15 minutes.

Food, bubble tea, billiards and karaoke are group outings: one bill, several people. Most loyalty programmes sign up the person holding the card at the counter. Everyone else at the table walks out unknown, and they are often the ones deciding where the group goes next week.
Why the payer-only problem happens
Counter enrolment depends on a cashier asking and on one phone number per bill. Even when staff remember, the system has one slot. That is the payer-only ceiling, and it caps your member list well below the number of people you actually serve.
The fix: a table QR
Place one QR on each table. Each guest scans, enters a phone number or taps WhatsApp login, and is a member in about 10 seconds. A welcome reward lands on the spot. No cashier step and no POS change.
When it is not the right fit
If most of your guests come alone, such as a grab-and-go kiosk, a table QR adds little — Receipt Scan on the bill is the better join path there.
Worked example
120 bills a day, 2.3 guests per bill, 20% take-up, 30 days
| Counting only payers | Whole table (Group Check-In) | |
|---|---|---|
| People offered the sign-up each day | 120 | 276 |
| New members a day at 20% | 24 | about 55 |
| New members a month | 720 | about 1,656 |
One QR per table, at eye level
A tent card or sticker where phones already sit.
Reward every guest, not the bill
A free topping or 10% voucher per person gives each guest a reason to scan.
Follow up the group
Everyone who joined can now be won back when they drift; PEKO's AI flags them.
FAQ
Do guests need to download an app?
No. They scan the QR with the phone camera and join in the browser.
Does the table QR need my POS?
No. Group Check-In does not touch the POS.
How fast is it?
About 10 seconds per guest.
How is Group Check-In different from a normal loyalty sign-up?
A normal sign-up captures the one person who pays. Group Check-In lets every guest at the table join from one QR in about 10 seconds, so a table of four gives you four members.
Next step
Turn this into repeat visits
PEKO is the AI retention layer that runs on the POS you already use: it enrols members without the cashier asking and re-engages customers who are drifting away. Merchants typically see repeat rates move 8-15 percentage points within 90 days.

The PEKO ecosystem
PEKO and LOOP are two products from the same company. PEKO is the AI retention layer and runs alongside the POS you already use. LOOP is the AI-native POS that covers operations: recipe-level inventory, staff shifts, table plans and the kitchen display. Each works on its own, and run together they share one dataset, so nothing has to be entered twice. See PEKO + LOOP in one ecosystem

Answer
Does receipt-scan loyalty capture every sale?
Receipt Scan records every sale a guest chooses to claim, whatever the payment method, including cash and e-wallets that payment-linked loyalty misses. Guests are prompted on the receipt and at the table, and Group Check-In enrols everyone at the table, so the share of guests who become members is usually higher than with cashier sign-up.
